Carrie Wilson is a trauma-informed trainer, researcher, and youth engagement specialist with over 14 years of experience across the social care and charity sectors. At TICS, she leads the Young Person Support Service, developing tailored programmes that centre resilience, independence, and recovery for care-experienced young people. Carrie is highly experienced in building ethical, data-safe participation models and designing services that are informed by the voices and rights of young people.
Alongside practice, Carrie is an active researcher, with publications including work on social care innovation, care leaver transitions, teaching on care experience, and ethical approaches to research participation. Her wider work includes influencing national and international policy, facilitating youth engagement spaces at global conferences, and supporting organisational change through co-production. She brings a strong focus on emotional intelligence, safeguarding, and data protection compliance. Currently undertaking a PhD at Loughborough University, Carrie’s research focuses on the financial needs of young people transitioning from care into adulthood.
