    Facilitated Spaces

Turning Learning into Collaboration, Reflection, and System Change

The Facilitated Spaces are collaborative environments designed to help teams, projects, and organisations apply trauma-informed principles in real time.

Unlike structured training, these sessions are dialogic, adaptive, and co-produced — built around participants’ live contexts, priorities, and needs.

Each space is led by an experienced TICS facilitator who brings trauma-informed process design, ethical awareness, and emotional containment to the group’s goals.
Whether teams are analysing data, reviewing policy, or engaging in reflective planning, these sessions prioritise psychological safety, shared ownership, and collective meaning-making.
    Facilitated Spaces are ideal for:
    • Research or evaluation teams seeking ethical collaboration and co-analysis.
    • Educational settings developing inclusion and belonging initiatives.
    • Organisations embedding trauma-informed or care-aware culture change.
    • Leadership teams seeking structured implementation support.
Through these sessions, participants move from individual insight to shared understanding, mutual accountability, and practical change — ensuring that trauma-informed values become embedded not only in what people learn, but in how they work together.

These spaces extend the TICS Trauma-Informed Learning, providing the relational and collaborative structures that sustain reflection, co-production, and systemic change.
    Creative Practice Lab

Collaboratively designing trauma-informed creative and sensory approaches for engagement and reflection
Supports teams, researchers, and practitioners to develop or refine creative methods suited to their participants and context.

Focuses on balancing creativity with safety, containment, and accessibility — ensuring that participatory tools are empowering and ethically grounded.
    Co-Analysis Roundtable

Collaborative interpretation and ethical meaning-making in research and evaluation
Provides a structured yet flexible space for teams and lived-experience collaborators to collectively interpret data and findings.

Models participatory meaning-making, ensuring that voices and experiences represented in data are analysed ethically and inclusively.
    Trauma-Informed Clinical Supervision

Sustaining safety, reflection, and wellbeing in trauma-informed practice
Trauma-Informed Clinical Supervision is an essential element of effective trauma-informed practice.
TICS provides individual and group supervision across sectors — including education, health, adult and children’s social care, and therapeutic services — supporting professionals to sustain safety, wellbeing, and ethical reflection in demanding roles.

Our model offers a psycho-educative and reflective space where practitioners can explore trauma symptomology, vicarious impact, and personal responses to complex work.
This approach focuses on resourcing the professional self, strengthening reflective capacity, and mitigating the risks of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout.
    Student Voice Lab

Co-producing belonging and inclusion between staff and care-experienced students
Brings together students, educators, and institutional staff to co-produce understanding of belonging, safety, and inclusion.

Fosters relational dialogue, enabling lived experiences to directly inform teaching, policy, and support systems.
    Institutional Change Lab

Translating reflection into strategic, system-wide trauma-informed change
Provides a structured facilitation space for leadership and cross-departmental teams to turn the individual change goals developed in Core 6 – Lived-Experience Leadership & Reflective Practice into a shared organisational plan.

Supports participants to move from personal reflection to collective strategy, embedding trauma-informed and care-aware principles across policy, processes, and culture.

Facilitators guide teams to identify leverage points for change, align plans with organisational priorities, and create clear accountability structures for implementation and review.
