The Add-On Trainings extend learning beyond the six Core Trainings by offering focused, skills-based workshops that help participants apply trauma-informed principles to specific areas of practice.

These trainings are designed for those who have completed Core modules or who already work within trauma-informed systems and want to deepen applied competence in key relational and leadership areas.
They are ideal for researchers, educators, practitioners, and organisational leads seeking to strengthen reflective, ethical, and emotionally literate practice.

This reflective and experiential half-day Lab supports researchers, practitioners, and lived-experience professionals to sustain wellbeing when working with trauma, adversity, or emotionally charged material.
Participants explore emotional regulation, boundaries, and collective care strategies that strengthen resilience without losing empathy or authenticity.

The session positions wellbeing not as “self-care,” but as an ethical foundation of trauma-informed research and leadership. It introduces practical tools for regulation, supervision, and reflective team practice, helping individuals and organisations build sustainable cultures of care.

This half-day Add-On Training builds practical skills for responding to tension, misunderstanding, or conflict in trauma-informed ways.

Participants explore how communication can either escalate or repair relational rupture — and learn techniques to stay regulated, use connecting language, and rebuild safety when relationships are strained.

This advanced workshop supports leaders, EDI professionals, and inclusion strategists to move beyond awareness into systemic integration.

Building on learning from the educator and support pathways, it focuses on embedding care experience within equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy, policy, and culture.
