Gemma Fieldsend

Gemma has worked in the field of mental health for over 25
years. She worked as a Clinician in the NHS for 15 years and
then moved into education in 2012. She has extensive
experience as a consultant mental health trainer, delivering
high quality, evidence informed mental health training in
schools, colleges, and universities since 2014.

She has been actively involved in developing partnership work
with schools throughout the country. This has allowed her to
work closely with schools identifying training needs and
supporting the school community in a whole school/college
approach to mental health. Gemma has a wealth of experience working collaboratively with senior education leads in identifying training and development needs and supporting and fostering cultural and organisational change.

She has excellent communication skills and can develop and
maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders
and senior leaders. Gemma has extensive experience in working with organisation’s in developing a whole school approach to mental health. She has worked collaboratively with a wide range of senior leadership teams to write and develop school policies on mental health and prides herself on fostering an open, inclusive, and supportive environment.
