Youth Justice Practitioner
PhD Researcher & Author
Andi is the Head of Access, Participation and Outcomes at Leeds Trinity University.

His passion for equality of opportunity derives from a childhood of chronic instability, the care experience, school exclusion, addiction and youth incarceration.

These childhood adversities shaped Andi’s relational practice to facilitate trusting and safe spaces that promote recovery and healing for children and families throughout an
extensive career within the youth and criminal justice sphere. Andi capitalises on the multi-dimensional perspectives and wisdom of practice, theory and lived experience to author books, educate professionals and create inclusive spaces for every member of our society to feel safe and welcome.
"Andi has been a keynote speaker at several Ofsted conferences during my time as National Director. He combines deep professional knowledge of the social care and justice systems with being an expert by experience.

An engaging, passionate and well researched speaker he manages to both challenge us to do and be better professionally whilst giving us the hope and confidence that we can.”

Yvette Stanley - National Director of Early Years Regulation and Social Care at Ofsted
